MTG Peasant Rules I Use

Peasant may attract MTG  geeks and nerds that are looking for something different to pass time.

Like the name sounds, Peasant is a slight upgrade from Pauper.

The most important difference is that 5 cards may be selected as true uncommons, meaning that
they don’t have a common rarity in common.

To my knowledge, Peasant is not sanctioned. I’m just writing about rule suggestions.

The format uses 60 cards.

Players start with 20 life.

Figure out a way to choose who goes first.

Up to 60 basic lands can be used.

If you want to use a sideboard, why not? Peasant just for fun, but this doesn’t include more
than the 5 true uncommons.

Up to 4 card duplicates may be used, also meaning that 4 of the 5 true uncommons may be
the same.

Follow the Banned listing for Pauper, aside fom what I wrote above about the 5 true uncommons.

So far as I know, all the rules are similar for the same for a Pauper deck.

Reckless Pulverizers ~ Peasant

Welcome! I am not sure about the copyright laws for mtg cards, for the sake of posting them on the web; so this is where I stop and say, if any person wants me to take those files down, that's fine. I meant no harm.  I posted them, the pictures, to make the game exciting with the intent of sharing something I like.  I plan on going ahead without the mtg card images from now on.

This post is essentially an update for the peasant deck, "Simple Straightforward and Stompy" that I made in 2016. It is not the greatest, but I have been having fun playing it.

The strategy for this deck is to first play defense while collecting mana, and then try to whoop your opponent with a strong endgame.

Vicious Resurrections ~ Peasant Green White

Here are the rules I use:

This deck tries to create tons of tokens with cards like Eyeless Watcher that makes two tokens in addition to itself, and Kozilek's Predator which also makes two tokens in addition to itself.  These are then meant to be pumped by Overrun and Triumph of the Hordes.  And, if they die, so what?  Evolution Charm or Wildwood Rebirth put them back into play with even more tokens.

This is the mechanic.
Play something like Eyeless Watcher.  It creates 2 tokens.
Then, attack with Eyeless Watcher.  The best thing that can happen to you are forced to put it in the graveyard because then you can bring it out with Evolution Charm, and recast it so you with have a total of 4 tokens.  Combine an attack with an uncommon and slam! ~ It's game over.

Myr Satchet II - Peasant

These are the rules I use:
https://mtg-craig-hamilton.blogspot.com/2019/07/mtg-peasant-rules-i-use.html

This Peasant deck was originally Satchet of Myr on Silver Towers.  However, when I tested it, it crashed and burned.  This deck is improved.  I tested it on my son, and it did well; a very long slow game, but definitely an epic battle.  Primarily, rather than focusing on 4 colors, I focus on obtaining cards that look for Myr Galvanizer, or Freed From the Real that make for mana combos that can easily cast Eldrazi beatsticks.  This deck is also a threat without the Eldrazi's because it has so many Myr, and Myr Galvanizer gives all Myr creatures +1/+1 for each Myr Galvanizer on the battlefield.
