MTG Commander - War Cry of the Beast. monogreen w/Silvos, Rogue Elemental

Firstly, as defense is a weakness of monogreen, this deck aims to start with a solid defense; hopefully wielding some power similar to the white, but without straying from monogreen.  That is the place of Fog, Dense Foliage, Moment’s Peace, Asceticism, Tangle, Ground Seal, Gaea’s Herald, and defender creatures like Traproot Kami, Shield Sphere, Steel Wall, Wall of Tanglecord, Wall ofVines, Carven Caryatid, Wall of Brambles, Mitotic Slime, and Master of the Wild Hunt as well as Glissa Sunseeker to take care of oodles of artifacts.  Also, Not of this World is a great way of saving this massive hungry creature deck.

Norwood Priestess

Two cards in this deck are essential Norwood Priestess, and Elvish Piper.  There are plenty of ways to fetch them, like Elvish Harbinger, Fauna Shaman, Green Sun’s Zenith, Wirewood Herald, Skyshroud Poacher, Worldly Tutor, or to bring them back to life, like Genesis, Revive, Evolution Charm, Wildwood Rebirth, Wrap in Vigor.  However, they aren’t so essential that the entire deck will fail without them.  For example, AEther Vial, Quicksilver Amulet, Natural Order, Cryptic Gateway, Dramatic Entrance, Pattern of Rebirth, Tooth and Nail, and Defense of the Heart are other ways to bring out the bad boys.

The fun part of this deck is giving your opponent a seismic beating with general or um commander Silvos, Rogue Elemental, but also these hefty creatures; Elderscale Wurm, Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, Moldgraf Monstrosity, Pathrazer of Ulamog, Primordial Hydra, Rampaging Baloths, Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, Vigor, and Khalni Hydra.

Trailblazer's Boots

I should also mention the fun can really roll by equipping Silvos, or other beatsticks with Fireshrieker, Whispersilk Cloak, Swiftfoot Boots, and/or Trailblazer’s Boots.

Deck Name: Massive Beating. Deck Color: Green. Format: Pauper

This deck is slow.

Axebane Guardian, and Overgrown Battlement provide this deck with some major mana-ramping power.  In fact, I prefer this defender combo to similar Elf combos, such as those with the Priest of Titania, or Elvish Archdruid, because not only do the defender walls ramp for mana, but they also provide some of green’s best defense.  In addition to using defenders, I also use instants Fog, Undergrowth, and Moment’s Peace, which I should add has some flashback power, especially with the help Urban Burgeoning provides.  The idea is that the walls and the instants buy time for a late in game win.
Major weakness in this deck, few fatties, may hopefully be countered with Naturalize, and Gleeful Sabotage.
Evolution Charm and Salvage provide some graveyard searching action.
